EU launches project for development of vocational education in Georgia

A new project to develop vocational education has been launched in Georgia at the initiative of the EU. It will establish working groups to develop national standards for training specialist welders, electricians, tile pavers, sanitary technicians, joiners, clothing production specialists etc., Trend reports.

The working groups will include representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science, vocational schools, universities and trade unions.

Meetings and training sessions to be held by the project's manager, Thomas Blake, and chief expert on standards, Joschka Anastasova, together with Georgian experts, are planned within the framework of the project.
