The Baku Prosecutor’s Office has initiated a criminal case into an assassination attempt against ex-President Abulfaz Elchibey, 1news.az reports.
A spokesman for the Prosecutor General’s Office, Eldar Sultanov, said that leader of the Muasir Musavat Party, Hafiz Hajiyev, and other officials attempted to poison the former head of state. This information has serious grounds, because the president had sudden health problems before dying.
