Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad believes that Israel’s existence is an offense to humanity and should be destroyed, he said at Tehran University on Friday, Interfax reports.
The president added that a new Middle East would be formed without Zionists or Americans.
The speech was made to mark the day of solidarity with Palestine in the fight against Israel. It has been the harshest criticism Iran's leader has made against Israel in the last few years.
The negotiations of six mediators with Iran to resolve the nuclear problem have not totally failed, but Tehran should be more serious in the process, US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman said.
