Inspection of Ministry of Agriculture of Stavropol found no violations in the expenditure of budgetary funds

The Ministry of Agriculture of Stavropol Territory has been found not guilty of embezzling 22.7 million rubles, which it was suspected of by the prosecutor's office , according to an official letter of the Ministry on Friday, RIA Novosti reports.

In April, the prosecutor's office of Stavropol Territory accused the Ministry of Agriculture of the region of violations and inefficient spending of budget funds amounting to 22.7 million rubles, following which a criminal investigation could be initiated into abuse of power in the allocation of 7.7 million rubles to support farmers, as well as of the violations by providing subsidies for more than 15 million rubles to one of the farms. The Ministry disputed the results of the inspection and decided to hold its own one.

The official inspection on inefficient spending of budget funds amounting 22.7 million rubles has not revealed violations of existing regulations governing the provision of subsidies to agricultural producers in the actions of the officials," the letter says.
