Russian chemical weapons expire on January 1, 2013

 

Colonel Vladimir Mandych, deputy head of the Federal Directorate for Safe Storage and Disposal of Chemical Weapons, said that storage terms of chemical weapons expire on January 1, 2013, Interfax reports.

Russian chemical weapons were produced in 1963-1987. Their storage was prolonged twice, despite expiration.
