Unified Customs Code comes into force in Russia and Kazakhstan

The Customs Code of the Customs Union comes into force on the territories of Russia and Kazakhstan as of today, announced Kazakh Finance Minister Bolat Zhamishev at a briefing in Astana, reports Kazinform. He mentioned media reports that the Belarussian parliament had ratified the Customs Code last night. He said that, in order for the Customs Code to come into force on all three territories, Kazakhstan and Russia would have to be informed through the Customs Union Committee, but that at the moment the Customs Code only applied to the territories of Kazakhstan and Russia.
