Turkish President Abdullah Gul had health problems and had to leave Bishkek, he will not be able to attend the Turkic Council (TURKKON), Trend reports.
The TURKKON summit started in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) today. The Bishkek Cooperation Declaration is expected to be signed.
TURKKON was founded in 2009. Its first summit was held in Alma-Ata in October 2010 to cooperate in education and culture. Attendants of the Bishkek meeting worked on composition of common textbooks of history of Turkic peoples, an encyclopedia of Turkic terms and cooperation of higher education centers.
