US hopes Non-Aligned Movement will press on Iran

Spokeswoman of the US State Department Victoria Nuland hopes that UN Secretary General Ban-Ki-moon and other attendants of the Non-Aligned Movement summit in Tehran on August 26-31 would force Iran to fulfill international obligations, Interfax-Azerbaijan reports.

Nuland believes that Iran must clarify its nuclear program to the six mediators (five permanent members of the UNSC and Germany) and resolve the problem in a diplomatic manner.

The US has similar expectations from Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi.

Ban Ki-moon will attend the summit in Tehran on August 29-31.
