Azerbaijani and Kyrgyz Prime Ministers Artur Rasizade and Omurbek Babanov have discussed realization of joint investment projects, Trend reports.
Rasizade arrived for the second summit of the Turkic Council (TURKKON) in Bishkek.
Babanov reminded that the visit of Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev was a boost to bilateral relations. He recommended Azerbaijan to invest in reconstruction of the airport at the Tamchy Village of the Issyk-Kul Region and open banks in Kyrgyzstan. The prime ministers discussed realization of the Kyrgyz-Azerbaijani-Kazakh oil pipeline, construction of a refinery in Kyrgyzstan and formation of the Kyrgyz-Azerbaijani investment fund.
Rasizade expressed interest in the airport reconstruction and noted that Baku will finance feasibility studies of investment projects. He added that Kyrgyzstan needs to improve the socio-political climate in the country in order to attract investments.
Concluding the talks, the prime ministers discussed organization of a major investment forum in Bishkek.
