The US and Turkey have had the first meeting to plan resignation of Syrian President basher al-Assad and his supporters, Trend reports.
Delegations were headed by Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Halit Cevik and US Ambassador to Ankara Elizabeth Jones. They discussed intelligence missions. The officials stressed on prevention escalations of tensions, because 17,000-23,000 people have already died in the conflict.
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu met on August 11.
Syria warned that it would use chemical weapons if foreign states intervene.
