"We hope that the Republic of Azerbaijan will be represented at the
highest level at the 16th summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in
Tehran”, spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Ramin Mehmanparast said, APA reports, quoting IRIB.
Mehmanparast said that a working group of Azerbaijan is now in
Tehran: “Exaggerating some issues and the spreading of rumors by Western
media aim to damage the close relations between the regional
countries. The negotiations between Iranian and Azerbaijani officials
and positive meetings clarified some issues, which had been presented as a
dark moment. Misunderstandings between the two countries are being
resolved. We hope that the relations between the two countries will
develop in the future.”
Mehmanparast said it was specified that 2 kings, 27 presidents, 8
prime ministers, 6 special representatives and 25 foreign ministers
will attend the Tehran summit.
