Head of Armenian Armed Forces to attend CSTO meeting

The Chief of Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Yuri Khachaturov, will

leave for Minsk on Tuesday to participate in the meeting of his
counterparts from CSTO member states, news.am reports.

The participants will discuss the main development directions of the
CSTO’s military component, improvement of the CSTO structure and the
results of inspections in the military units assigned to participate in

the Collective Rapid Reaction Force.

As reported earlier, Armenia will host the Cooperation 2012 joint military
drills with the participation of the CSTO's Collective Rapid Reaction Force.

The CSTO exercises scheduled for September 3-8 in Armenia will be
conducted in accordance with the plan of joint activities of

operational and combat training of government troops and groups of forces of
the Organization.
