Foreign ministers have passed the final declaration of the 16th summit of the Non-Aligned Movement in Tehran today. Working groups decided to form the committee political and socio-economic committees of the movement and elect directors of new offices, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Mehti Ahundzade said. An office may open in Azerbaijan, he adds, APA reports.
Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said that Iran remains committed to the main principles of the organization. He pointed out such problems as globalization, revolutions and opposition.
The final declaration concerns politics, science, trade, nuclear weapons, terrorism and security. It disallows interference of foreign states in domestic affairs of others, condemns terrorism, use of mass media for seeking lucre, murder of Palestinian women and children and US sanctions against Syria.
Over 100 states have taken part in the meeting of foreign ministers. The summit ends on August 29.
