Turkish planes bomb militants in northern Iraq

Turkish Air Force planes carried out raids against Kurdish militants
in north Iraq. Local news agencies report that the operation was held
in Kadil, ITAR-TASS reports.


The planes took off from the Dyarbakyr province. The 'Milliet'
newspaper also said that the last successful air force operation in
Iraq was held on May 20. The pro-Kurdish agency 'Firat' confirms the
attack.


There is no information so far on casualties.
Turkish intelligence believes that Kurdish militants are planning to
carry out terrorist attacks in major Turkish cities and also plan to
kidnap well-known politicians.
