Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has accused Turkey of augmenting bloodshed in Syria and expressed indifference to the regular defection of high-ranking functionaries and military officers, RIA Novosti reports.
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that 80,000 refugees had entered Turkey in total. Assad says that defection purifies the nation, calling the fleeing people weak and bad.
The Syrian president calls the conflict a regional and global war. He said that state forces were stronger than the rebels. Assad noted that his opposition had failed to scare him.
