Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated the Russian Hajj mission on the 10th anniversary and called Islam an indispensible part of Russia’s religious life, RIA Novosti reports.
The Hajj mission is a structure responsible for cooperation of Muslim administrations and tourism companies organizing Hajj. Grozny is having a session to mark the 10th anniversary of the organization.
The president said that the Muslim community was taking an active part in social live, charity, care for family values, condemnation of religious intolerance and extremism.
Putin pointed out that the Hajj mission had proved its authority and contributed to resolution of many problems of pilgrimage.
