The government of Armenia has approved amendments to the law on state fees. Syrian Armenians will be free from paying fees for extension of visas or residence permits, ARKA reports.
The state fee totals $1.2 per day for extension of visa. Residence permits cost about $256-342, Armenian Minister for Diaspora Granush Akopyan.
According to the Ministry for Diaspora, Armenia has over 1700 Syrian Armenians. In addition, there are 400 children of Syrian Armenians on vacation.
