Georgia-NATO commission discusses electoral system

The Georgia-NATO commission have held a meeting to discuss the electoral system of Georgia and preparations for parliamentary elections there on October 1, Georgia Online reports.

NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen attended the meeting at the NATO headquarters in Brussels. Georgia was represented by Ambassador Grigol Mgalobishvili, Deputy Justice Minister Tina Burjaliani and First Deputy State Minister for Integration in Europe and Euro-Atlantic Structures Elene Khoshtaria.

The Georgian side provided information on electoral reforms and the special operation at the border of Dagestan. The NATO side approved the democratic reforms of Georgia and achievements of integration in NATO.
