The Azerbaijani-Kazakh Friendship Society named after Heydar Aliyev has met in Baku to mark the 20th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the two states, Trend reports.
Kazakh Ambassador to Baku Serik Primbetov thanked society members for promoting bilateral ties and spoke about a number of recent events, including the opening of the Center for Kazakh Language named after Abay at the Baku State University and the publication of a book by Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The ambassador said that about 132,000 Azerbaijani natives were currently living in Kazakhstan.
