Russian vice premier does not rule out reopening of Gazprom management case

Russian Vice Premier Arkady Dvorkovich does not rule out the formation of committees at the Gazprom board, RIA Novosti reports.

The board only has an audit committee. The Ministry for Economic Development initiated talks on forming a committee for strategy, composed of functionaries.

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev booted out all the functionaries from Gazprom during his presidency. First Vice Premier Victor Zubkov was the only exception. He is now the special presidential representative for cooperation with the Forum of Gas Exporting Countries. Zubkov has been the Gazprom CEO since 2008.

Dvorkovich noted that the loss of functionaries reduced the efficiency of the management at Gazprom.
