Ingushetia will host an Islamic conference in early July, where prices
for so-called "bride kidnapping" will be adjusted. 240 people will
participate in the conference, mainly imams and elders, Interfax
reports.
Bride fees have not been changed for approximately 10 years and equal
12,500 rubles. Now imams will change the sum to 30-50 thousand
roubles.
They will also discuss one of the most topical problems in the
republic - blood feuds. They will most likely propose a paying off for
the guilty side to the victim equal to approximately $10,000.
