Armenia skips session of CIS Council of Interior Ministers in Baku

The Armenian police have warned attendants of the CIS Council of Interior Ministers that they will not attend the upcoming session in Baku, RIA Novosti reports.

The Armenian police chief passes his chairmanship in the council to Russian interior minister.

Armenian officials explained that the state skips the session due to pardoning of Azerbaijani officer Ramil Safarov. He was convicted for life in Hungary and extradited to Azerbaijan, only to be pardoned by the president.
