Kurdish militants kidnap regional authority of ruling Turkish party

The Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) has kidnapped Mejid Tarhan, head of the office of the Justice and Development Party in the Hakkari Province of Turkey, ITAR-TASS reports.

Tarhan’s car was stopped at Ogul and went missing ever since. His mobile phone was found in the car.

Hussein Aygun, a member of the People’s Republican Party, was kidnapped by the PKK in mid-August. He spent 2 days at a militant camp. His kidnapping was coordinated by the leaders of the PKK.
