Dagestani Leader Magomedsalam Magomedov has appointed Magomed Magomedov as the Sports Minister of the republic, Yuga.ru reports.
Magomed Magomedov was the Spartak free wrestling coach in Sverdlovsk and the Tarumovsky District of Dagestan. He worked at the Kizilyurt Trade Union, the Imamat Concern, the Dagestani Republican Agency of the Federal Food Corporation.
Magomedov became a Dagestani MP in 1995, joined the Committee for Legislature, Law, Statehood and Local Autonomy in 1996.
He was studying at the Law Department of the Dagestani State University, graduating in 1998. He was the head of the interdistrict inspection N8 of the Tax Ministry in Kizilyurt. He became an MP in 2003, head of Gerbilsky District, reelected in 2008.
Dagestani Minister for Sport Arsanali Murtazaliyev died in May 2012, aged 55. His deputy Nasir Gajikhanov was killed by unidentified gunmen in Makhachkala after 5 days.
