Russian General Staff does not plan Tartus Port evacuation in Syria

The Russian technical support facility at Syria’s Port Tartus operates in normal regime and there is no need for evacuation, Interfax cites the Russian General Staff.

Russian marine ships visited the port in early August only to refuel and load cargo, no equipment or people embarked it. Should the situation in Syria become critical, the port will be evacuated to Novorossiysk.
