New US Ambassador to Georgia Richard Norland will arrive in Tbilisi on September 5, Trend reports on Tuesday.
Norland will replace Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Georgia John Bass.
The US Senate approved his candidacy on March 29.
The oath-taking ceremony of the newly-appointed US Ambassador to Georgia took place at the State Department on July 27.
"I look forward to serving in Georgia - in this beautiful country with a glorious history and a promising future," Richard Norland said.
