NATO calls for clarity of Kavkaz-2012 military drills in Russia

 

NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen has urged Russia to make the Kavkaz-2012 military drills clear, ITAR-TASS reports.

The official told Georgia in Brussels that the alliance shows interest in regional security and has concerns. He added that NATO was urging Russia to fulfill international agreements and respect territorial unity and sovereignty of Georgia.

Rasmussen will visit Georgia on September 6. He will meet the country’s authorities and discuss cooperation and Georgia’s preparations for the parliamentary polls of October 1.
