US President Barack Obama has received enough votes at a meeting of the Democratic Party to run for president on November 6, RIA Novosti reports.
Joseph Biden was the only candidates for vice president.
The democrats met in Charlotte (North Carolina) this week. The Republican Party held a similar meeting last week, promoting Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan to run for president.
