Iran and Azerbaijan are brothers - Iranian vice president

Iran and Azerbaijan are brothers, and no one can set them at variance, Iranian Vice President and chairman of the Cultural Heritage and Culture organisation of Iran, Seyed Hassan Mousavi, said on Thursday at a meeting with the chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office (CMO), Sheikh-ul-islam Allahshukur Pashazade, Trend reports.

"Our enemies are concerned about the deep historical relations between Iran and Azerbaijan," Mousavi said.

He said Iran has always supported the position of Azerbaijan in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The statement of the Non-Aligned Movement summit also stressed support for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

"Friendly and fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Iran have always been strong and will be so in the future," Mousavi
said.

Mousavi invited Sheikh-ul-islam Allahshukur Pashazade to visit Iran.
