Ingush Leader Yunus-Bek Yevkurov has had a meeting with security authorities and the Security Council of Ingushetia. He ordered additional security measures to be taken and all efforts to be put in finding the terrorists responsible for murdering six police officers of the convoy at the Chechen border.
Yevkurov said at the Magas Airport that the republic had enough forces to keep any unexpected situation under control. He urged militants to give up and promised them help in adapting to peaceful life.
A police convoy was attacked from submachine guns and grenade launchers on September 5. Six officers died and one was injured.
