The Verkhny Lars Checkpoint on the Russian-Georgian border has started 24/7 operation to process the high flow of people, Georgia Online reports.
Andrey Azhgibisov, Chief of the Verkhny Lars Checkpoint, said that the post was reconstructed in 2010 and equipped with advanced machinery. Georgia lifted the visa regime for Russia in March 2012, causing an increased flow of border crossing.
