Lindsey Graham: Georgia has strong support in US congress

“Georgia has strong support in the United States Congress”,

American Senator Lindsey Graham told a press conference held at

the United States embassy today, Georgia-Online reports.

According to Graham, the upcoming elections will be decisive for Georgia.

“Democracy works in this country, everybody we met was complaining

about each other, I had the feeling that I was in the US. I don’t know

what will come out of this, but I urge everyone to take part in the

elections. This gives a chance to elect the desired government. Many

countries dream about this. I will tell you about my wish, I want

Georgia to become a NATO member. You deserve this," Lindsey

Graham said.

A group of American senators arrived in Georgia for a two-day visit.

The delegation is composed of three people - American Senator John

McCain (Republican Party, from Arizona), Joseph Lieberman (Democrat

originally, now – independent, from the State of Connecticut) and

Lindsey Graham (Republican Party, South Carolina).
