he President of Karachay-Cherkessia, Boris Ebzejev, honoured the best specialists of the republic with state awards of the Russian Federation and the Karachay-Cherkess Republic's titles of honour, reports YUGA.ru.
"In his speech the President underlined that, although the Republic possesses unique natural resources, it's main wealth ever was and will always be the people" - says the President's press service.
The outstanding scientist, director of the Special Astrophysical Observatory and corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Yuri Balega, was decorated by the Order of Honour of the Russian Federation.
