Iran establishes special group to deal with Iranians living in Canada

 

Iranian Foreign Ministry has established special staff that would be dealing with issues of Iranians that currently reside in Canada, Trend reported referring to Mehr.

Speaking to Mehr, Deputy Foreign Minister on Consulate issues Hasan Qashgavi said that there are currently over 400,000 Iranians living in Canada, and special staff established by the Ministry will be dealing with their issues.

Canada said lat week it had closed its embassy in Iran and is expelling all Iranian diplomats from Canada.

Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird said in a statement that the Iranian government was "the most significant threat to global peace and security in the world today."

Iran has officially expressed its regret over Canada's decision.
