The President of Abkhazia, Sergei Bagapsh, met recently with a delegation from the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselhoznadzor) to discuss issues of bilateral cooperation, APSNYPRESS reports.
The delegation included Chief State Veterinary Inspector Nikolai Vlasov, head of the State Veterinary Directorate of Krasnodar Krai and the Republic of Adygei Vladimir Shevkopas, head of the Sochi Veterinary Directorate Alexander Kisliy and others.
Vice-premier Alexander Ankvab, Minister of Finance Beslan Kubrava, Minister of Agriculture Juri Akaba and the chief of the Abkhaz veterinary service Eric Anshba represented Abkhazia.
"We all are interested in the food produce security of the region. The issue is of no small importance, as more and more tourists arrive here", Nikolai Vlasov said.
