Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said in the Eastern Azerbaijan Province that Iran was speaking from the perspectives of humanism, Islamic grace and good-neighbourly relations with Azerbaijan when releasing poets Fadi Husein and Shahriyar Hajizade, Trend reports.
The two Azerbaijani poets were arrested on May 2 for attempting a crime. They arrived for the poetry festival in Tabriz. Azerbaijan sent several protest notes to the Iranian Foreign Ministry to receive information about the poets and meet them.
