Islam Guseynov, Chairman of the Ulyanovsk Regional Office of the All-Russian Azerbaijani Congress, has been attacked in Ulyanovsk, Mozaika reports.
The official was attacked on the Lenin Street near the Center for Restoration and Development of National Cultures after noon. His security guard was killed.
Islam Guseynov was born in Baku on May 10, 1969. He moved to Ulyanovsk in the early 1990s. He was a private businessman for 10 years. Guseynov became the Chairman of the All-Russian Azerbaijani Congress on September 15, 2005. He initiated the opening of a Heydar Aliyev monument in the city.
