Azerbaijan will take part in the opening of the Peoples’ Friendship Bridge and founding of a monument of Duke Vladimir in Astrakhan, 1news.az reports.
Ali Gasanov, head of the socio-political section of the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration, is supervising the Azerbaijani delegation that arrived in Astrakhan on September 10, RIA Novosti reports.
Azerbaijan initiated construction of a Heydar Aliyev monument and a local part in Astrakhan in 2010. School N11 of Heydar Aliyev on the Bakinskaya Street was reconstructed in 2011. The Heydar Aliyev Fund assisted in realizing the projects.
The memorial of Duke Vladimir will open at the Mechta Children’s Recreation Center today.
