Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Denisov said today that the response to Russia’s visa proposals to the EU will be given in October, RIA Novosti reports.
He reminded that the Council for Russian-EU Security Cooperation will have a session chaired by Russian justice minister in early October.
Russia and the EU are discussing visa procedures to simplify EU border crossing for Russians. The discussions started in early November 2011. The sides negotiated the steps for lifting the visa regime in Brussels on December 14-15, 2011.
