US Ambassador Christopher Stevens, two of his guards and an unidentified official were killed in an attack on the US consulate in Benghazi (Libya), Reuters reports.
Libyan Vice Premier Moustafa Abisagur confirmed the murder. Supporters of the Islamic Law took responsibility for the murder.
Bodies of the diplomats have been taken to the Benghazi International Airport. They will be moved to Tripoli and then the US base in Germany.
Protests at the US embassy were provoked by a film called “Innocence of Muslims” by Terry Jones (Florida). Jones is notorious for burning the Quran last year, causing a major outcry in Afghanistan and resulting in over 100 people killed.
