U.S. doesn't support any particular party in Georgia

The United States supports neither the ruling Georgian party, nor the opposition, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor Thomas Melia says.

Georgian Prime Minister Vano Merabishvili and members of the U.S. interagency delegatiion led by Thomas Melia discussed today the situation before the parliamentary elections in Georgia, Trend reports.

The U.S. delegation arrived in Tbilisi on September 10 and will stay until September 13. The delegation includes representatives of the Agency for International Development, the Department of Defense and Department of Justice.
