The National Counter-Terrorism Committee says that terrorists in the North Caucasus are starting to give up, especially in Dagestan.
Four militants of the Khasavyurt Group gave up on September 9. Their supporter who was providing them with food and shelter has given up today.
Six militants and two of their supporters have given up this week. 12 people have turned themselves in to the police last week. They brought 4 submachine guns, 8 grenades, 4 grenade launcher shots, a flame thrower and over 400 bullets.
The police have found 8 militant caches in Leninkent of the Kirovsky District of Makhachkala and Pokrovskoye of the Khasavyurt District of Dagestan. They included seven F-1 and RGD-5 grenades, six grenade launcher shots, four weapons, 400 bullets, military equipment, food and medication.
