All Georgian first-graders to receive free computers

 

The Georgian Education Ministry will give free netbooks to 41,300 first-graders and laptops to 3,000 teachers on September 17, News Georgia reports today.

Netbooks will have software for studying foreign languages, Maths, logic, schools manuals, education games and other activities. Netbooks have wireless Internet connection.

The program is to implement world standards of education, teach children and help them integrate.

The computers were produced by a factory of the Algorithm Company, the only factory producing computers in Trans-Caucasus, with Intel assistance.
