Ingush Leader Yunus-Bek Yevkurov said that corruption threatens the development of economy in the republic. He believes that the tendency to solve all problems with cash should be stopped. Clergy and mass media should assist in combating corruption, he adds, Interfax reports.
Ingush Vice Premier Abubakar Merzhoyev said that the government had approved a purpose program for prevention of corruption for 2012-2014.
Ingush Deputy Prosecutor Gelani Merzhuyev said that over 3,000 violations in combating corruption were registered among state and municipal functionaries in the first 7 months of 2012. He believes that prosecutors should monitor functionaries with corruption-risky positions more actively.
