Head of the Georgian Income Service, Jaba Ebanoidze, and Turkish Deputy Minister for Customs Affairs, Ziya Altunialdiz, have signed a deal in Istanbul to build a tunnel at the Akhalkalaki-Kars section of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway, Business Georgia reports.
The deal simplifies border crossing for people and vehicles, freeing imported products from custom fees. A temporary checkpoint will be opened on the border.
