Program of innovative co-operation is developing in the Commonwealth of Independent States

The countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) are developing a program of innovative co-operation that will run up to the year 2020. Large-scale projects will be implemented in the framework of this program, said the head of the Russian Federal Agency for CIS Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad and International
Humanitarian Cooperation, Farit Mukhametshin, RIA Novosti reports.

On June 19th the Economic Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States made a resolution to create a special group, that will develop an international program of innovative co-operation between the member-states of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

"This decision was made by our prime ministers at a meeting of the Council of the CIS heads of Government. It is developing so that some countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States can present projects for possible implementation in other countries", said Mukhametshin. He regretted that there no large-scale viable projects
for the program at present, but that they were being worked on in every member-state.
