Turkish PM urges Kurdish separatists to stop confrontation

The Turkish military have killed about 500 terrorists of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in a month, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Monday, RIA Novosti reports.

The prime minister urged the PKK to stop confrontation.

The Turkish conflict with the Kurdistan Workers' Party has been ongoing for over 25 years. The PKK demands independence. The conflict has resulted in the deaths of over 40,000 people. The UN and the European Union recognize the PKK as a terrorist organization.
