Washington has expressed its willingness to help establish Turkish-Armenian diplomatic relations, Hillary Clinton said during her visit to Yerevan, RIA Novosti reports.
The process of Armenian-Turkish rapprochement started in 2008 on the initiative of the Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan. In 2009 the sides signed the so-called Zurich protocols, but their ratification has since been postponed, a fact that Clintonm expressed concern over. She also noted that the US has urged Turkey to actively participate in the process as it meets the interests of the entire region.
