Russian Vice Premier Dmitry Rogozin supervising military industry believes that more efforts are needed to produce national electronics, RIA Novosti reports.
The official said in Tula that he could not tolerate replacement of national military electronics with imported pieces. He said that Russia and Belarus were developing new technologies and electronic components.
The Russian Ministry for Industry and Trade formed an inter-department council of chief constructors, Rogozin said. He added that 95% of satellite components was electronics. The vice premier emphasized that the gap that had occurred in 20 years should be minimized in order to make Russia a world leader of space research.
