The US Agency for International Development (USAID) is closing offices in Russia. The US organization was recognized as a foreign agent affecting political processes in Russia, RIA Novosti reports.
Spokeswoman of the US State Department Victoria Nuland said that USAID had achieved great results in the last 20 years. She added that the US was still devoted to democracy, protection of human rights and cooperation with NGOs in Russia.
